Simply, Marc's mission is to help others develop their best selves.  Marc offers services that support all ages and ability levels in running , walking , and mindfulness.  He is a RRCA Certified Coach and Certified Master ChiRunning and ChiWalking Instructor and has completed a year-long mindfulness teacher training program. 

 

Marc is an avid runner with regular podium finishes from 5ks to ultra-marathons.  He is especially proud of his 2:51:50 Boston Marathon PR in 2017 and successful completion of several 50+ mile ultramarathons.

 

A Worcester, Mass native, Marc has lived in Wrentham for the past 7 years with his wife Gianna and sons Caleb and Sam where he also serves the community as a member of the KP School Committee.  Marc has spent much of his adult life in New York City and Denver, but is happy to be back in Massachusetts.

Services for Runners and Walkers

Whether you are brand new to running or chasing a PR,  Coach Marc’s deep experience allows him to offer support in three basic ways: 

  • ChiRunning/ChiWalking Coaching: Marc is one of a handful of “Master ChiRunning/ChiWalking Instructors” in the world.  ChiRunning is a “technique-based” approach to running that isn’t offered by most running coaches - it’s much more than just how fast and how far to run.  Similar to expert coaching for sports like golf, tennis, swimming, etc., ChiRunning coaching focuses on the specific body movements that increase efficiency and reduce the chance of injury.  You can learn more about ChiRunning here (Marc also supports walkers through a similar approach, ChiWalking).  ChiRunning coaching can positively impact both new runners and advanced runners and everyone in between. 

  • Online Training: Need help reaching a specific running goal?  Level up from a generic training plan found on the internet, and instead work with Coach Marc to get an individualized training plan built around your specific goals and fitness.  Using an online platform/app called Final Surge, Coach Marc shares customized training plans. The platform and app allow for easy data sharing and electronic communication so that plans can be continually updated based on real-time data.  Coach Marc is especially proud of his track record with online coaching – clients successfully run their first race at their goal distance or set a personal record. 

  • Mindful Running: Marc combines his knowledge of ChiRunning and years of experience with mindfulness to support runners who are interested in turning running into a mindfulness practice.  Science and common sense tell us that the body and mind are deeply connected.  The Mindful Running approach makes these connections explicit and surfaces practical approaches to integrate mindfulness and running. 

 

Ways to engage with Coach Marc include: 

  • Workshops: The most cost effective option for working with Coach Marc, group workshops (typically no more than 15 participants) are offered throughout the year.  

  • 1:1 Coaching: The most optimal option for learning how to move more efficiently and to reduce injury.  Sessions usually are one hour in length and typically include video analysis.  Runners new to ChiRunning are encouraged to engage in at least three hours of initial instruction.  Also, runners with ChiRunning experience can greatly benefit from direct feedback, video analysis, and focus on advanced technique possible during 1:1 Coaching sessions. 

  • Video Analysis: Designed for the runner who wants to dip their toe into ChiRunning before committing to more extensive coaching.  These 1-hour sessions use video analysis to compare current running technique to optimal ChiRunning technique. 

  • Small Group/Family Coaching: A perfect mix of the Workshop and 1:1 Coaching approaches.  Gather your family or a small group to work with Coach Marc in a setting tailored to the needs of the group. 

 

Costs:

  • 1:1 In-person or Virtual Coaching: $99/hour 

  • Small Group/Family In-Person Coaching: $99/hour for the first person and $25/person per hour for each additional person.

  • Online Training: $79/month 

  • Workshops: Costs range based on content and length of workshop. 

 

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE WHEN MULTIPLE SESSIONS AND/OR MONTHS ARE PURCHASED UP FRONT. 

 

Many athletes choose to bundle the services above in customized packages.  For example, a runner targeting a spring race may choose to bundle 4 months of Online Training and 4 months of 1:1 Coaching to be fully supported in reaching their specific goal.
